About Northwest
Natural Resource Group
Welcome to our new website and thanks for your interest! We encourage you to
learn more about NNRG’s programs and the people behind them.
History
Founded as the Olympic Peninsula Foundation in 1992, NNRG began as
a community based organization dedicated to economic and environmental
vitality in one of the world's most unique ecosystems, the Olympic
Peninsula in Washington State. In 1998, as part of expanding our work
to include all of the Pacific Northwest, the organization was renamed
he Northwest Natural Resource Group. For information on previous programs,
please see our Past Accomplishments
section. |

Current Programs
NNRG’s current priority is to support the growth of a profitable,
sustainable, and environmentally sound timber industry in Washington
State, primarily through our Northwest
Certified Forestry program for small landowners. NNRG has been
a long-time advocate for Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification
in the Northwest and continues to work to make certification affordable,
functional, and accessible to everyone participating in the forest
products economy.
Support
You can help support NNRG’s work with a tax deductible donation.
